Also, during radar vectors the controller can take the aircraft as low as the minimum vectoring altitude, which in some cases is very low. The MSP to MDW flight is filed over the Motif arrival into Chicago which would take the flight over Joliet and then out to the east of MDW back into MDW. During off peak traffic hours (Saturday night for instance) ATC with give you vectors for a straight in visual to 22L. Why does the media continue to parade these putzes around for everyone to see?
